Job Summary:

Manager – Sustainability Governance governs the Group’s ESG governance mechanisms to ensure consistent oversight, accountability, and effective coordination between Head Office and subsidiaries. The role serves as the central governance lead for key committees and grievance processes, strengthening transparency, escalation, and decision-making on sustainability matters. This position also governs ESG KPI governance across all organizational levels (from CEO to staff) to ensure KPI design, approval, implementation, and monitoring are aligned with the Group’s ESG strategy and governance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Group Governance Oversight: Design, implement, and continuously improve Group sustainability governance between Head Office and subsidiaries, including role clarity, RACI, decision rights, escalation routes, and governance cadence.
  • Grievance Mechanism Governance: Govern and enhance the Group grievance mechanism across subsidiaries to ensure accessibility, confidentiality, non-retaliation, timely investigation, remediation tracking, and management reporting.
  • ESG Committee Governance (Board-level): Serve as the governance secretariat for the ESG Committee, including agenda planning, materials coordination, decision logging, action tracking, and follow-up with management to ensure effective Board oversight.
  • ESG KPI Governance (CEO to Staff): Govern the design, rollout, and maintenance of ESG-linked KPIs across organizational levels, ensuring alignment to ESG strategy/targets, clear definitions, measurement methods, and fair performance evaluation.
  • Policy, Procedure & Control Governance: Develop and maintain governance-related policies, procedures, templates, and controls (e.g., committee charters, grievance SOPs, reporting packs) to ensure governance operations align with international best practices (e.g., OECD Guidelines, UNGP) and that all subsidiaries comply with group-level sustainability mandates.
  • Strengthen Reporting and Accountability: Develop and maintain governance reporting packages for management and the Board, including committee effectiveness, governance gap analysis, and improvement plans to drive continuous improvement in sustainability oversight and compliance.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, Law, Political Science/Public Policy, Governance/Risk/Compliance, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
•    Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), ICA Governance, or ESG-specific governance •    5 – 8 years of experience in corporate governance, legal compliance, or sustainability management, with at least 3–5 years in a governance or committee‑support role.
•    Demonstrated experience in supporting Board‑level and management‑level committees, including agenda setting, minutes preparation, and follow‑up of actions
•    Experience working in multinational or group‑structured organizations with multiple subsidiaries.
•    Experience in supply chain sustainability governance, grievance mechanisms, or human rights due diligence frameworks is preferred.
