Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential safety hazards

    • Implement corrective and preventive measures (e.g., safety equipment, training, emergency response protocols)

  2. Regulatory Compliance

    • Stay updated with relevant safety regulations and industry standards

    • Implement processes for monitoring compliance and conduct regular inspections

  3. Incident Investigation and Analysis

    • Develop a standardized process for thorough incident investigations

    • Implement corrective actions based on findings to prevent recurrence

  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

    • Establish KPIs for safety performance (e.g., injury rates, near-miss reporting, compliance level)

    • Track and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement

  5. Safety Culture Promotion

    • Conduct safety culture assessment activities

    • Organize awareness programs, training sessions, and campaigns

    • Encourage open communication for reporting safety concerns and near misses

  6. Coordination and Collaboration with Business Unit Representatives

    • Foster collaboration and coordination across business units on safety and business continuity efforts

  7. Business Continuity Management

    • Work with BCM team members and BU representatives to develop robust BCPs

    • Ensure plans address identified risks and support continuity of critical operations

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field with more than 5 years of manufacturing experience and completion of Department of Labor Protection and Welfare (DLPW) training to register as a professional-level Safety Officer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety (preferred)

  • Relevant certifications such as ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (preferred)

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive safety experience

  • Background in mining, energy, or manufacturing sectors

  • Proven track record as a Safety Manager

  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

Skills

  • English proficiency (TOEIC 550+)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate safety within a business framework

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various regulatory requirements

  • Proficient in writing reports, procedures, performance reviews, training programs, and presentations

  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment

  • Exceptional attention to detail and observation skills
