Job Summary:

At Corporate level

  • Responsible for the management of Safety Management System and provide health and safety programs by working with internal and external stakeholders to establish, implement, review, and promote compliance, continuous improvement systems and overall safety performance.
  • Provide guidance, instructions, and feedback on Health and Safety and support implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) initiatives, projects, and legal and regulatory requirements and company policies as relate to Health and Safety.
  • Responsible for the overall Business Continuity Management (BCM), ensuring the organization’s preparedness for and resilience against disruptive events through proactive planning, effective communication, and continuous improvement.

At Country level

  • Serve as Professional Safety Officer (also known as Safety Officer at Professional Level referring to Thai Law) at Bangkok Office ensuring the health and safety well-being of employees, and other stakeholders and ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to within an organization.
  • Serve as Business Continuity Management Officer at Bangkok Office, providing knowledge and sharing expertise to related functions and facilitate the implementation to comply with ISO 22301
  • Representative of company Safety Committee (also Secretary of Safety Committee) to manage unsafe activities and challenge employees to work in a safe manner at all times, and to support management to investigate all incidents and accidents that occur within their operational locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with all business unit representatives to demonstrably install training programs and initiatives which yield a reduction in workplace injuries and create an awareness to safety initiatives
  • Facilitate training for employees in safe work practices for newly hired employees or refresher training sessions, such as but not limited to Safety Induction, Safety Culture Concepts or Behavior-based Safety
  • Maintaining safety files, records, and logs
  • Perform safety inspections, preparing written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures were indicated and follow up to ensure measures have been abated
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance for all incident reporting data and reporting
  • Assist in the development, annual reviews and upgrading of existing safety programs
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or other related Engineering or Science field.
  • Having 5 years of safety experience in mining, energy, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management System, data analysis and risk assessment
  • Proven experience as Safety Manager and hold safety certificates such as ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can articulate safety within a business framework.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various regulatory regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, internal procedures, performance reviews, training programs and presentations.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (TOEIC score 600 and above)
