Mining Engineer

Job Summary:

The Corporate Mine Planning Engineer leads the development of mining strategic direction, delivers mine planning technical support to site teams, and ensures the establishment and maintenance of corporate mine planning standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop long-term mine plan and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with company objectives, resources, economic targets, market and business trends. 
• Oversee the preparation of downstream mine plans (medium- and short-term), ensuring alignment with the long-term plan.
• Monitor ongoing operations, provide timely mine planning technical support to resolve planning issues, support mining reconciliation, enhance value creation and cost reduction.
• Identify and leverage technology and AI to drive operational excellence.
• Develop and maintain corporate mine planning standards, procedures, and technical guidances to ensure consistency and best practices across operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the mining industry, including at least 2 years in mine planning 
• candidates with less experience or recent graduates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., MineScape, Minesight, or equivalent)
• Experience in coal mining environment preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication abilities and strategic thinking capabilities
• Proficiency in English communication (Required TOIEC score minimum 600)
