Mining Decarbonization Specialist

Job Summary:

Primarily revolves around reducing the environmental impact of mining activities, especially concerning carbon emissions. This includes developing and implementing strategies to minimize energy consumption, transition to renewable energy sources, improve efficiency and promote sustainable practices throughout the mining industry.

Responsibilities:

• Implement energy-efficient technologies in mining operations.
• Optimize equipment and processes to minimize energy consumption and emissions.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with research institutions and suppliers to access cutting-edge solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned by superior.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Science and Engineering, or related field
• Having 2 years of working experience in Environmental, Climate Change, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management
• Good analytical skills, logical, problem-solving and systematic thinking skills
• Excellence in communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Good command of spoken and written English (TOEIC score at least 600 for Section manager level)
