Job Summary:

First Line Manager - Commercial - Business Development to drive strategic growth and lead initiatives in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within the power industry. This role focuses on gas-fired power stations and projects supporting the low-carbon energy transition. Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Due Diligence Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams and external advisors to deliver comprehensive analyses, risk assessments, and valuation insights, including identifying upside opportunities.
  • Project Feasibility & Screening: Conduct initial screenings and analyses of projects, evaluating technical, commercial, contractual, and financial aspects to recommend suitable acquisition opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
  • M&A Execution: Identify, evaluate, and drive M&A opportunities, leading due diligence and negotiations to secure deals that align with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Financial Modeling & Reporting: Develop and refine advanced financial models, creating detailed investment analyses and actionable reports for stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external parties to gather essential information, ensuring effective project evaluations and successful M&A transactions.

Strategic Communication: Prepare and deliver insightful reports and presentations to senior management, providing clear recommendations to guide decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the power or financial sectors, with a strong focus on business development and project management.
    • Proven expertise in large-scale M&A transactions, including target identification and negotiation support, is highly preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a TOEIC score of at least 800.
    • Technical Proficiency: Advanced financial modeling skills and mastery of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Personal Attributes: Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and eager to learn. Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
