Job Summary:

First Line Manager - Strategic Planning - Finance strategy planning

Banpu PCL. is looking for individuals to join the Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) team to help accelerate our ability to adopt new innovations and create new business segments for the company.  Team members will be presented with the opportunity to interact with leading global start-up companies in the clean technology, healthcare/biotech, and other emerging technology sectors.  There will also be opportunities to interact with senior management members throughout the global Banpu organization.

Responsibilities:

• Source and execute technical/commercial/financial diligence on start-ups in strategically important sectors for Banpu
• Develop and maintain network across the global venture capital/private equity community to keep abreast of deals, industry trends, and news flow
• Liaise with top management in various divisions on synergy potential between current/potential investments and existing business lines
• Monitor each investment in portfolio and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
• Perform valuation analysis along with detailed risk/reward analysis on each investment proposal

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a scientific/engineering/medical field
• 2-3 years post MBA experience or equivalent, or 5+ years’ experience in an investment related role, preferably with international exposure
• The experience in the investment banking, strategy consulting, equity research, or venture capital investing are preferable
• Ability to create financial statements with projected financials
• Ability to interpret and create financial statements
• Ability to analyze facts and figures in a rapid manner
• Knowledge of MS Office, with strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong presentation and writing skills
• Advanced level of proficiency in English (Minimum TOEIC Score 700)
