Job Summary:
Provide technical support for CHP power plants, focusing on O&M technical management, equipment reliability, maintenance strategy, technical supervision, performance improvement, innovation, digital transformation and organic development. Manage approved CAPEX projects, support technical due diligence for new business opportunities, and strengthen technical competence for existing assets and future investments.
Responsibilities:
1. CHP O&M Technical Management: Establish and continuously improve technical management requirements, standards and evaluation mechanisms; supervise equipment, defect, reliability, maintenance, overhaul, technical supervision and lifecycle management; and drive risk-based, closed-loop improvement.
2. Performance Improvement and Technical Transformation: Review operating and maintenance performance, identify recurring issues, optimize maintenance scope, cycle and cost, and support technical initiatives, innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development projects while safeguarding safety, compliance and equipment integrity.
3. CAPEX Project Management: Review project feasibility, technical and economic justification, CAPEX plans and expenditures; support design, technical review, EPC tendering and construction management; and monitor project execution, quality, documentation and compliance with the Company’s DOA.
4. Technical Due Diligence and Business Development Support: Organize and coordinate technical due diligence for projects developed by BD, including site assessment, risk identification, performance evaluation, technical reporting and provision of key technical and operational inputs to financial models and asset purchase agreements.
5. Technology Intelligence and Knowledge Transfer: Track advanced power-generation technologies, maintain networks with design institutes and professional organizations, evaluate application opportunities and share relevant knowledge with power plants to strengthen technical competence.
6. Cross-functional Coordination and Special Assignments: Coordinate with plant production teams, internal departments, Banpu Power Thailand, suppliers, consultants and contractors, and complete other professional assignments agreed with the supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Thermal Energy Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Automation or another relevant discipline.
• Relevant power-industry technical training or certifications are preferred where applicable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the electric power industry, including at least 5 years in a technical management position.
• Solid experience in CHP power plant O&M technical management, including equipment reliability, maintenance and overhaul planning, technical supervision, defect management and performance improvement.
• Familiar with multiple power plant disciplines, applicable regulations, technical standards and best practices for safe, reliable and economical operation.
• Experience in a design institute, engineering company or consulting company is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, coordination, communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
