Job Summary:
Support the origination and execution of renewable energy investments, with a focus on PV and BESS projects, covering opportunity screening, investment analysis, due diligence, transaction execution and post-investment review to build a high-quality asset pipeline and support disciplined investment decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Source, screen and track investment opportunities in PV, BESS and other renewable energy projects; maintain the investment pipeline and market database, and build relationships with developers, investors, asset owners, brokers and investment banks.
• Conduct preliminary project assessments, including transaction structure, investment value, key risks, and relevant market, policy, electricity market and competitive landscape analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial models covering valuation, investment return, sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
• Coordinate and participate in commercial, financial, technical, legal, tax and compliance due diligence, working with internal teams, external advisers and counterparties.
• Prepare investment proposals, approval papers, investment committee materials and other transaction documents; maintain data rooms, transaction trackers and approval records with complete and accurate documentation.
• Support transaction structuring, commercial negotiations and the drafting, review and negotiation of transaction documents; coordinate signing, closing conditions, payments, corporate registration changes and other closing activities.
• Support post-investment integration, remediation tracking, investment performance reviews and asset divestments as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Electrical Engineering, Energy or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in renewable energy investment, investment banking, securities, consulting or a related field. Experience in renewable energy transactions, investment analysis or due diligence is preferred
