Shift Engineering Coordinator - Mandalong

About the Role

We are currently looking for a weekend night Shift Engineering Coordinator that wants to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our northern based operation – Mandalong Mine.

Conveniently located in the Lake Macquarie region, a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast, this role is an excellent opportunity to work in an Underground Longwall - based mining operation.

This key operational role presents the opportunity for qualified and committed personnel to contribute directly to the success of Mandalong’s mining operations and open the door to a secure future. 

Reporting to the Shift Undermanager, your responsibilities will include:

•    Safety and compliances as per Centennial and site management systems
•    Coordinating engineering activities for mine services
•    Leading and supporting the engineering team to execute planned activities and improvement projects
•    Managing contractors and work group
•    Assisting the site to reach and maintain production targets

Suitable candidates will have

•    Tertiary qualifications in engineering
•    Previous experience in a similar coordination role
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•    An organised and reliable work ethic
•    Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
