We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mining Engineer / Ventilation Officer that wants to take their underground mining engineering career to the next level and secure a role with our Lake Macquarie based operation, Mandalong Mine.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your responsibilities will include

• Manage and implement the Ventilation Control Plan
• Design and monitor the Gas Drainage Management Plan
• Manage and coordinate the ventilation / gas team and contractors
• Assisting with the development of first workings and extraction schedules and updating mine schedules 
• Management of Mine Ventilation commitments 
• Reviewing and updating documents and procedures as required
• Management of site projects

Suitable candidates will have

• Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering
• Statutory qualifications to perform the role of Ventilation Officer
• Minimum 3 years experience working in underground coal mining
• Strong computer literacy skills and previous experience using mine planning software
• Excellent work ethic and attendance record
• Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
