Mining Engineer - Underground Mining - Lithgow Region

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your responsibilities will include

• Completion of short, medium, and long term planning, including Life of Mine (LOM)
• Develop and manage production budgets, schedules, and forecasts
• Adjust and manage mine plans, agreement of rates and mine plan outputs
• Assist with weekly and monthly reconciliation of mine production activities
• Develop and maintain annual and 5-year production budgets
• Identify, analyse and implement technical advancements and process improvements

Suitable candidates will have

• Tertiary Mining Engineering qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an underground coal mining environment
• Experience with mine planning software or willingness to participate in mine planning software training
• Excellent work ethic and attendance record
• Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Sound computer literacy skills
