We are currently looking for a Mine Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical operations and support our western based underground coal mining operations in the Lithgow region.

Reporting to our Mine Managers, your role will be responsible for

• Managing the life cycle of Electrical Assets associated with site
• Overseeing Electrical statutory compliance 
• Maintaining forecasts for capital and operating expenses and directly manage the Electrical Engineering budget
• Coaching, mentoring, developing and managing direct reports and maintaining quarterly review of key result areas.
• Developing continuous improvement initiatives across the Electrical Engineering area

Suitable candidates will have

• Tertiary level qualifications in Electrical Engineering
• NSW Electrical Engineering Manager Certificate of Competency / Mutual Recognition (or higher)
• NSW Electrical Engineering Manager Practising Certificate
• Compliance to the Learning and Completion Hours of the Maintenance of Competence for Practising Certificates
• A minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a leadership role in an underground coal mining environment
• Sound computer literacy skills 
• A commitment to safety and operational targets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Positive attitude towards team leadership and mentoring
