Reporting to the Longwall Superintendent, your role will be responsible for

• Leading the Longwall Electrical team in a state-of-the-art longwall system with “Remote Operating Centre” controlled from the surface
• Working alongside a dedicated Automation Engineer to ensure efficient operation of a full Komatsu Longwall
• Safety and compliance as per Centennial and site management systems
• Operational compliance through maintenance inspections and reporting
• Coordinating electrical engineering services and maintenance activities 
• Supporting the electrical engineering team to execute planned activities and improve engineering availability
• Assisting the site to reach and maintain production targets
• Supporting commitment to a high level of internal safety standards and team culture

Suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications and attributes

• Electrical Engineering qualifications
• Previous experience in a similar Electrical Engineering or Longwall Electrical supervisory role 
• Experience with automation technologies, such as PLCs or SCADA systems, used in longwall mining operations
• Strong leadership and a desire to inspire and drive excellence
• Commitment to safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organised and reliable work ethic
• Personal drive and problem-solving skills
