Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Superintendent, you will drive positive change supporting business objectives while ensuring total compliance with the policies and legislation set in place.
Some of the key responsibilities and experiences required in the role include:
Responsibilities
• Support Myuna in the Implementation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Mines Safety Management System.
• Manage training programs (including maintenance of competence) in compliance with the Coal Services Order 34 Training and Competence Management Scheme.
• Promoting the Health and Safety message across the site.
• Develop and review training materials and programs in line with business requirements.
• Liaise with line managers and the workforce providing expert advice and be a proactive member of the management team.
Experience
• Work Health Safety qualification or significant experience in a safety critical role.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or significant progress toward the qualification.
• Recent experience in Risk Management in an underground environment is preferred.
• Statutory qualifications desirable.
• Underground operational experience and experience in operating mobile mining equipment.
• Ability to manage controlled documents is essential.
• Strong MS Office skills are essential, with experience in Pulse OHS highly regarded.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
