We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work at our Fassifern office in the Newcastle region whilst studying towards a Bachelor of Geospatial Science.


This traineeship combines academic learning with practical hands-on experience and provides the support and mentoring of the Centennial GIS Analyst.


In the office environment, you will assist the GIS Analyst to maintain the Centennial GIS system using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro software and get a great understanding about database systems and integration. In addition, you will have on and off-site training that will build on and expand your GIS skills.


Knowledge and understanding in GIS systems would be advantageous. If you are currently performing a GIS role, enrolled, or undertaking studies in Geospatial Science you are also encouraged to apply.

  • UAC/QTAC sufficient to enrol in university or pathways to University with the Tertiary Preparation Program.
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Demonstrated numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly effective planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
