Environment and Community Coordinator - Angus Place

Centennial is recruiting for an Environment and Community Coordinator, to be based in our Lithgow region. This role is integral to both the operation of our mine sites and the technical support and development of environmental and community management strategies. 

Suitable candidates will possess effective consultation and community relations skills, with a focus on demonstrable improvement of environmental performance across all the mining activities.  Your ability to liaise with regulatory authorities and work collaboratively with site and corporate teams will ensure the site complies with relevant company standards and achieves best practice outcomes. 

Previous experience in the implementation of environmental management plans will allow you to directly support the mine sites to achieve their environmental objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Degree qualification from a tertiary institution in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining or heavy industries
• Previous experience and demonstrated ability in Project Management
• Knowledge and understanding of the NSW legislation frameworks and policies
• Strong safety focus to promote safety standards and contractor management
• Experience working at an Underground mining operation (preferable)
