We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Coordinator at our Lake Macquarie based site – Newstan with the site undergoing care and maintenance.

Just a short distance from Newcastle, this role offers an Electrical Engineering professional the chance to work in the mining industry without having to travel far for work.

 


Reporting to the Mine Electrical Superintendent, your role will be responsible for


•    Perform routine inspection and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment at Newstan underground, surface, and satellite sites
•    Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and participate in after-hours callouts as required
•    Manage and coordinate upgrades of electrical plant and installations, ensuring alignment with safety and operational standards
•    Coordinate and manage electrical contractors and service providers
•    Manage and maintain the Computerised Maintenance Management System (Pulse)
•    Schedule and manage work using the Work Management System (WMS)
•    Develop, review, and maintain electrical procedures and standards

Suitable candidates will have


•    A valid Qualified Supervisor Certificate – Electrical
•    Electrical Engineering qualification (desirable)
•    Commitment to safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
•    Experience in a similar role at an underground coal operation
•    Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) accreditation
•    High Voltage (HV) training and accreditation (desirable)
•    Experience using Pulse Maintenance Systems (desirable)
